What Are Memories?
- Memories let your assistant remember specific preferences for your conversations.
- Unlike persistent data storage, these are not long-term records—NOAN still operates on facts for business knowledge.
- Memories are short-term, user-defined preferences (e.g., reply style, nicknames).
How It Works:
- Ask the assistant to remember a preference (e.g., "Reply in short, succinct answers").
- The assistant creates a memory and adapts its responses accordingly.
- You can instruct the assistant to forget a memory at any time (e.g., "Don't call me Big Dog anymore").
- The assistant confirms when a memory is created or deleted.
Memory Management:
- The assistant can hold several memories at once, managing them automatically.
- When the limit is reached, older memories are dropped in favor of new ones.
- Memories are carried across the product, so preferences persist in all interactions until removed.
Not a Replacement for Tone: Memories are for conversational preferences, not for setting overall brand tone (which is managed separately).
Use Cases: Personalize how the assistant addresses you. Set preferred response styles. Experiment with creative ways to guide assistant behavior.
